Friends and family picnic. An afternoon of accoustical music, potluck* and saving endangered animals!

Animal Welfare Ambassador Foundation

Ziyka is a White Bengal Tiger adopted by AWAF (Animal Welfare Ambassadors Foundation) in 2011. At a young age, she was diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder and given an extremely low possibility of survival.  Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Jennifer Conrad (LINK), she survived rigorous medical treatments and today Ziyka is in good health and is cared for in ideal conditions.

Contrary to myth, the white tigers fur color is actually due to the lack of pheomelanin pigment, which is found in Bengal tigers with orange color fur. When compared to Bengal tigers, the white Bengal tigers tend to grow faster and heavier than the orange Bengal tiger. White Bengal tigers are fully grown when they are 2–3 years of age. White male tigers reach weights of 200 to 230 kilograms and up to 3 meters in length.

The fundamental purpose of AWAF’s animals is to provide the connection, especially for the younger generation, to TIGERS who are on the verge of EXTINCTION.   Through our tiger’s involvement in media projects and charities, we strive to raise “Tiger Awareness”, and increase social consciousness, EDUCATION and ultimately preserve those very few left in the wild.

Every animal deserves a chance to live a full life, whether in the wild or capitivity.

We are honored to have Ziyka as an ambassador for STOP POACHING NOW! and that she will be part of leading the cause to prevent and bring awareness about poaching wild animals in Africa and Asia.
